Process for cooling flat plastic products

The method involves supplying plastic mass to a calender stack over a slot nozzle by extruders, and rolling and calibrating plastic mass polishing rollers (1) to a desired form. Gap width (4) between positioning and adjusting rollers (2, 3) and speed of the rollers are controlled. An enlacing angle (6) of plastic flat products (5) around the rollers is changed by adjusting the rollers in a cooling section (7) in a displacement arrangement in the plastic flat products to increase or minimize cooling performance. The gap width is kept constant during the adjusting process by using a controller.
