The device (5) has resistors (R1-R3) i.e. power resistors, made of alloy, where the resistors have bondable connections made of electrically good conductive metal i.e. copper, or metal alloy. The resistors are formed in a metallic profile i.e. aluminum profile and embedded in a sealing compound. The resistors are formed with three parallel layers i.e. three-fold or three-dimensional layers, and an insulating layer is embedded in the sealing compound for insulating the parallel layers from each other. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a current limiting device.
