<p>PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a control method are provided to make a mobile terminal registered in second generation network to provide the service which is available only in third generation network. CONSTITUTION: A communication unit(110) performs the telecommunication and searches the access network in which the location is registered according to the service request. A controller(180) decides the location registration about the third generation network of the mobile terminal based on the search result of the communications unit, when the service which is available only in the third generation network is requested. If the mobile terminal is registered in the third generation network, the controller searches the third generation network capable of accepting the mobile terminal. If the mobile terminal is not registered in the third generation network, the controller displays that the mobile terminal is registered in the second generation network and asks a question whether searching the third generation network.</p> |
