The method involves exposing a shielding braid (3) and an electrical conductor (5) using a shielded cable (1), and fastening a casing (8) on the exposed braid, where the casing is made of an electrically conducting material. An area between a contact holder and an end of the casing is filled-up with electrically non-conductive plastic. The end of the casing is turned towards the shielded cable, so that a rigid connection is established between the contact holder and the casing. Outer sleeves made of the electrically conductive material are drawn by the connection. An independent claim is also included for a plug connector.
