The heat exchanger has a heat exchanger block (10) with a set of heat exchanging modules (20) having a set of heat exchanging passages e.g. heating passages and cooling passages, for fluid, where the heat exchanging modules are connected with each other. The passages extend over the heat exchanging modules, and a set of headers (16) are provided at the block for the passages of the heat exchanging modules. The headers have a common fluid connection (24) for supplying and discharging the fluid, and the heat exchanging modules are arranged next to each other and at a distance to each other.
