摘要 1,225,827. Railway track repairing machine. J. J. BOYER. 17 April, 1968 [20 April, 1967], No. 18045/68. Heading E1G. In a railway track repairing machine shovel means 8 for taking up the old ballast and tamping means 9 for levelling the new ballast are adjustably mounted on a beam 7 which is tiltably supported on front and rear bogies 2, 4 running respectively on the old and new tracks 3, 5, the longitudinal and transverse slope of the beam 7 being automatically controlled by jacks 11, 12 in response to voltages from clinometers 16, 17 and 18. The beam also carries ballast-sifting and conveying means not shown. On the front bogie 2, Fig. 2 (not shown), a pair of laterally-spaced jacks (11) are controlled by an electro-hydraulic circuit and clinometer (16) to maintain the beam (7) transversely horizontal. On the rear bogie 4, a single jack 12 is similarly controlled-e.g. by potentiometers or by clinometers 17, 18 and a comparative circuit, Fig. 3 (not shown) to maintain the beam 7 longitudinally parallel to the old track 3. The height and transverse slope of the shovel means 8 and the levelling means 9 are independently adjusted by jacks indicated at 14, 15. In the embodiment of Fig. 4 the tamping/ levelling means 9 is positioned at the required height and cant (transverse slope) by a pair of jacks 15a, 15b controlled by series-connected valves 33, 32 which are respectively actuated by a cant-determining computer 43 and a height-determining computer 53. The valves 32, 33, Fig. 5 (not shown) are so constructed and connected that the jacks are moved singly, together, or in opposition as required. The cant-determining computer 43 is controlled automatically by voltages from clinometers 19, 20, 34 respectively on the old track 3, the new track 5 and the tamping/ levelling means 9, together optionally with an adjustable correcting potentiometer 41. The height-determining computer 53 is controlled either manually, by comparing voltages from a height-determining measuring potentiometer 50 and a manually-controlled height-determining potentiometer 51, or (by opening switch 52) is controlled automatically, by comparing voltages from the potentiometers 50, 51 and a height-measuring potentiometer on the jack 12. The circuit includes voltmeters and outputs whereby the various levels and cants can be indicated and recorded. In a modification, Fig. 6 (not shown) the levelling means (9) is tiltably mounted on a vertically-movable carrier.
