WRL 68, comprises individual sepd. islands or isolated clumps formed in a culture medium, has morphology very similar to hepatocytes from the human liver and has generation time is not >24 hr. Increased glycogen prodn. takes place in the presence of 1% glucose and the virus is kept live.
