The present invention relates to the use of a pharmaceutical composition containing as its active component an effective amount of indole for treating or preventing pain associated with mastalgia. The invented pharmaceutical composition is also effective for preventing or reducing symptoms associated with endometriosis and in some cases, it can have favorable effect on cervical dysplasia. Preferably, the invented pharmaceutical composition is administered as a food supplement. |
