The device (1) has a main body (3), and a fastening unit (9) that is coved by the main body. The fastening unit is arranged for interaction with a clamping device e.g. clamping belt and/or a clamping chain. The main body is connected with a starting point using another set of fastening units (11, 13) for fastening a transport device to a load, where the starting point is formed at the load. The main body comprises two elements (5, 7), which are detachably connected with each other using a welded-, soldered-, plug-, screw-, riveted-, clip- and/or press connection. An independent claim is also included for a method for securing a load on a loading area.
