PURPOSE: A method for controlling overload of radio network and an apparatus thereof are provided to increase the profit of the mobile communications service provider by efficiently controlling the overload at the wireless network. CONSTITUTION: A receiver(303) receives the load information from the different domains. A controller(305) decides the overload of the different domains from the load information. The controller controls an overload of the different domains according to the determination of overload. The domain comprises the line switching domain and the packet exchange domain. The controller generates the cutoff information for cutting off the connection of the terminal according to the degree of the overload. The load information comprises the load information of the processor of domain or the memory.
