The connection box (100) has a holding part for fastening the connection box, and a fluid-conducting part. A sound-absorbing layer (120) is provided between the fluid-conducting part and the holding part. The sound absorbing layer is made of an elastomer, particularly from thermoplastic elastomer, ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber, nitrile butadiene rubber or butyl. The fluid-conducting part is made of metal, particularly a copper alloy with silicon, zinc and 80 weight percent of copper. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a connection box.
