A RANDOM ACCESS METHOD OF A USER EQUIPMENT TO A BASE STATION IN A WIRELESS COMMUNIACTION SYSTEM SUPPROTING UPLINK AND DOWNLINK MULTI CARRIERS

PURPOSE: A random access method of user equipment to a base station in a wireless communication system supporting uplink and downlink multi carriers is provided to perform smoothly the random joint process of the base station of the user equipment. CONSTITUTION: System information is received through the down link carrier corresponding to the cell ID information. The system information comprises the cell identifier information of down link carriers, the PRACH(Physical Random Access Channel) TF(Time Frequency) slot, and the preamble sequence information. The PRACH preamble is transmitted through the uplink carrier linked with down link carriers using a PRACH TF slot and the preamble sequence. The RACH(Random Access Channel) response is received through the down link carriers.
