Better sealing of the diaphragm of a switch as in Specification 1,196,005 is obtained by providing the annular rim region of the diaphragm 8 with an axial extension in the form of a sealing lip 27 whose resistance to deformation is substantially less than that of the rest of the diaphragm. The housing shoulder 6<SP>1</SP> may be inclined slightly with respect to the shoulder 9 in order to improve the deflection of the diaphragm material outwardly towards the cylindrical inner wall of the housing 1. |
