PURPOSE: A vehicle hood hinge device is provided to eliminate the need to install the gas lifter and the hood stay for supporting the opened hood since a rotating member, a locking member, a case and an elastic member cooperate one another. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle hood hinge device comprises a rotating member(10), a locking member(20), a case(30) and an elastic member(40). When a hood opens and closes an engine room, the rotating member rotates together with the hood. When the rotating member rotates in the direction that the hood opens the engine room, the locking member is unlocked from one side of the rotating member. When the rotating member rotates in the direction that the hood closes the engine room, the locking member is locked to the rotating member to block the rotation of the rotating member. The case is fixed to a car body and accommodates the rotating member and the locking member. The elastic member is accommodated in the case. In order that the locking member is locked to one side of the rotating member or is unlocked from it, the elastic member supports the locking member.
