PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatically painting a workpiece is provided to reduce painting time per each workpiece plate with an automatic spray gun reciprocating and spraying paint, and to uniformly paint the workpiece. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for automatically painting a workpiece includes the following: a supporter(10) installed on a support surface; a gun holder(21) installed on the supporter; an X-shaft driving part(30) reciprocating the gun holder in an X axial direction; an operation part(50) with an X shaft direction selecting button; an automatic spray gun spraying the paint through an injection nozzle; a compressed air supply part supplying the compressed air to a compression air channel; and a control part controlling a dry compression air switching valve.
