PURPOSE: An automatic electronic component registration method for of an electronic component mounting device is provided to easily check the registration of new insert target electronic component using the outer shape pattern block distance information of the electronic component. CONSTITUTION: A target automatic electronic component is displayed on a screen by generating taken image and information(S100). A mouse can designates a domain of screen in order to show an expanded image(S200). The most similar information to the existing information is searched by using an outer shape pattern which is expressed in the image of the new insert target part(S300). The center part of the existing registration part and the center part error of the new insert target part are calculated(S400). The center part error of the new insert target part is automatically registered(S500).
