PURPOSE: A grinding apparatus for applying linear pressure by a voice coil is provided to control the rubbing and abrasion by a bearing by preventing the contacting between a slide member and a rail member. CONSTITUTION: A grinding apparatus for applying linear pressure by a voice coil comprises a grinding unit(30), an air bearing slide system, and a linear operation motor. When the grinding unit is arranged in the aligned position, the grinding unit eliminates the predetermined amount of the material from at least one edge. The air bearing slide system slides along the predetermined shaft of the thin film of the pressurized air. As the grinding unit can move to the alignment position from the unaligned position, the linear operation motor controls the movement of the air bearing slide system. The grinding unit perpendicularly sanctions the predetermined force to at least one edge. The predetermined force is in direct proportion to the predetermined amount of material. |
