<p>PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for processing network entry procedures of a terminal in a communication system are provided to process network entry procedures efficiently by simplifying or omitting the basic capacity negotiation and/or registration procedures. CONSTITUTION: A message processor(110) receives a message from a terminal to detect ID information included in the message. An SBC information database stores SBC(Subscriber station Basic Capability) information for preset time. A basic capacity judgment unit(120) judges the basic capacity for the terminal by extracting the SBC information corresponding to the terminal ID information from ABC information database. A terminal registration unit(130) performs the registration for the terminal by extracting the REG information corresponding to the terminal ID information from the REG information database.</p> |
