SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING OF CALL FORWARDING SERVICE OF VIDEO TELEPHONY

PURPOSE: A system and a method for providing a video telephony call forwarding service are provided to enable a video call with an IP terminal by receiving a call-switching selection signal, an IP address, and a video communication enabling signal if a call switching operation is selected in the IP terminal during the request of the video call. CONSTITUTION: When an outgoing terminal requests a call, an outgoing call controller(112) transmits an outgoing call request message. An incoming call controller(122) transmits an incoming event for an incoming terminal(120) to an IP(Internet Protocol) terminal(150). In addition, the incoming call controller transmits a video call enabling signal and an IP address to an HLR(Home Location Register) through the incoming terminal. A GPRS(General Packet Radio Service) enables the outgoing call controller to request the video communication enabling signal and the IP address from the HRL. When the request is received from the outgoing signal controller, the GPRS enables the video call between the IP terminal and the outgoing terminal.
