The invention relates to oceanographic measurements and is intended mostly for determination of wind velocity over shelf zone. Method for remote determination of velocity of drive wind is in fact that section of water surface with minimal dimensions much smaller than length of dominant waves is radiated with acoustic signals from under water at zero incident angle with registration of reflected signals. Simultaneously with radiation one measured time for passage of radiating and reflected signals, respectively, with determination of local displacements of water surface and by those one calculates slants formed with long waves. Velocity of drive wind one determines by level of signals reflected from water with account of input to that level of slants formed by long waves. The invention makes it possible to take into account input from long surface waves to level of reflected radiation, this increases accuracy of determination of velocity of drive wind. Other technical result – possibility to perform measurements at any given time intervals, I particular continuously, this increases self-descriptiveness of investigations. |
