PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for displaying web contents effectively are provided to define a selectable region for web contents in advance in order to improve the accuracy in the selection. CONSTITUTION: If there is a touch input, a mobile communication terminal determines a selection region(300,310). An active context generates an HTML(Hypertext Markup Language) for the selected region(320,340). The mobile communication terminal generates the highest window layer(350). In order to display the HTML document on the window layer, the mobile communication terminal performs rendering for the selection region(360).
