PURPOSE: A steel cord tension controller is provided to improve the quality of a rolled steel cord by rolling the steel cord on a belt wound around a belt drum while keeping the tension of the steel cord uniform. CONSTITUTION: A steel cord tension controller comprises a supply support roll(4) guiding a steel cord(1), a pulling wheel(3) which pulls the steel cord passing through the supply support roll, a free bend roll(6) which guides the steel cord to keep the original shape of the steel cord passing through the pulling wheel, an upper stationary roll(7) which guides the steel cord passing through the free bend roll and returning to the pulling wheel and then supplied from the pulling wheel, a lower movable roll(9) which is installed separate from the upper stationary roll and controlled in height on a vertical support(2) by a cylinder(8), and a winding guide and support roll(10) which guides the steel cord supplied from the upper stationary roll.
