PURPOSE: A tire surface abrasion evaluating method is provided to evaluate the abrasion of the tire surface of a vehicle, based on the temperature of the tire surface. CONSTITUTION: A tire surface abrasion evaluating method comprises following steps. The surface temperature of the tread of the tire is measured before the motion of the vehicle. A biaxial accelerometer is mounted on the vehicle and operation severity is quantitively measured. The temperature of the tread surface is measured after the motion of the vehicle.
