PURPOSE: A method for controlling the volume in a digital broadcasting receiver is provided to automatically lower an initial TV volume during late night or morning, thereby minimizing damages due to noise. CONSTITUTION: An initial TV volume level of a digital broadcasting receiver and a time zone changed to the level are set(S200). Power-on time is compared with the time zone during power-on of the digital broadcasting receiver(S212). If the power-on time is included in the time zone, the initial TV volume of the digital broadcasting receiver is changed to the set volume level(S220). The initial TV volume is set at 5~10 percents of the entire TV volume. |
