PURPOSE: A cassette mapping apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to obtain mapping information by comparing a mask with a boundary line of an image inside a cassette. CONSTITUTION: An image obtaining unit obtains an image of a cassette(101). A transfer material is loaded on the cassette. An image processing unit extracts a boundary line of the transfer material from the image of the cassette(104). The image processing unit maps a mask on the image extracting the boundary line(105). The image processing unit grasps the mapping information of the cassette.
