PURPOSE: A cam device for climbing using magnesium alloy and a manufacturing method thereof are provided, which can improve mechanical property including intensity, elongation ratio, and the like. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a cam device for climbing using magnesium alloy comprises: a step(S110) of preparing molten magnesium of the inert gas atmosphere and adding 10~20 wt% of zinc and manganese alloy to the molten magnesium at 670~720 deg.C; a step(S120) of adding the zinc(Zn) to the molten magnesium; a step(S130) of manufacturing cast material; a step(S140) of manufactured a billet; and a step(S150) of molding.
