FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to use of polysilazanes for coil coating metal strips. Proposed is material for coating metals, containing a solution or mixture of polysilazanes of general formula -(SiR'R"-NR'")n- , where R', R" and R'" are identical or different radicals which are independently hydrogen or unsubstituted or substituted alkyl-, aryl-, vinyl- or (trialkoxysilyl)alkyl radical, where n is an integer and is such that, polysilazane has average molecular weight ranging from 150 to 150000 g/mol, in a solvent and at least one catalyst. The said solution contains 1-50 wt % polysilazane. Proposed also is a method for continuous deposition of the said coating on metal strips and a metal or metal strip which is coated. ^ EFFECT: design of material used for realising the method for coil coating which is light- and weather resistant, and prevents corrosion and scratching of the metal. ^ 14 cl, 11 ex |
