Target affected organs of fallen nutrias are taken from a local epizootic nidus, and suspension is prepared from them. Inoculation in differentially diagnostic media is carried out. Pure culture of the germ is evolved. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is grown in meat infusion broth with titre of 5-6 milliard microbe cells per 1 cm3 and inactivated by adding formalin to the end concentration of 0.4-0.5%. After that the culture is exposed to 37C for 48-72 hours. Aluminium hydroxide (20% by volume) is added to the culture.
