PURPOSE: A composition for improving sexual function, which contains Nelumbinis semen extract is provided to enhance strength of erection. CONSTITUTION: A composition for improving sexual function contains Nelumbinis Semen extract as an active ingredient. The Nelumbinis Semen extract is extracted using water, alcohol or their mixture. The alcohol is a low alcohol of C1-C4, ethanol. The extract is obtained by extracting at 60-100 °C for 1-15 hours once to five times. A method for treating electile failure is to administer pharmaceutically effective amount of the extract to the patient.
