PURPOSE: A method for estimating remaining battery capacity is provided to calculate the remaining amount by removing error using a forward voltage error rate and a current integration error rate after calculating the forward voltage. CONSTITUTION: A method for estimating remaining battery capacity comprises a step that measures and acquires the battery(10) information. The current correction(22) step to correct the measured current value from the obtained battery information based on the measured voltage value. The corrected current value is integrated to calculate the current accumulation value. The accumulation(23) capacity is calculated from the calculated current accumulation value reflecting the charging/discharging efficiency. The battery forward voltage capacity is determined from the obtained battery information. It is determined to correct(24) the current accumulation capacity based on the forward voltage capacity. According to the correction decision result, the current accumulation capacity is amended in the correction when necessary. The obtained current accumulation capacity is changed into remaining amount.
