The present invention relates to compounds of the formula (I), pharmaceutically acceptable salts, solvates, an in vivo hydrolysable ester or amid thereof and their use as ileal bile acid transport (IBAT) inhibitors for the treatment of hyperlipidaemia. Described are also processes for their manufacture and pharmaceutical compositions containing them and the use of them in the manufacture of a medicament for use in the treatment of hyperlipideamic conditions, dyslipideamic conditions and different clinical conditions.
