Press felt and method for its production

The strip (1) has a transverse reinforcement module (4) that is of same length and breadth as the strip and is arranged on a longitudinal reinforcement module (3) and connected to the longitudinal reinforcement module. The transverse reinforcement module has a set of transverse reinforcement module sections (4a-4c) which extend on the breadth of the strip and only on a part of the length of the strip in a longitudinal direction (MD) of the strip. Each module section has two sets of threads (8a-8c, 9a-9c) that cross at thread crossing points and together form a net-like textile planar material. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a felt strip.
