PURPOSE: A media play method using an SMIL and a device thereof for driving platform application are provided to reproduce the media which is connected to an SMIL message according to a response of a user in the SMIL message of the mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: A media play method using an SMIL is as follows. The SMIL message is received(S400). The content of the SMIL message is successively interpreted(S410). If a media connector is implemented in implementing the SMIL message, a pop up message which receives a response of a user is displayed(S420). The media corresponding to the media connector is executed based on the response of the user about the pop up message(S450).
