PURPOSE: A scorched rice making machine with an opening unit of a heating plate is provided to improve work efficiency owing to a product removal unit. CONSTITUTION: A scorched rice making machine(10) comprises a plurality of heating plates(20), transferring unit, opening unit(30), and heater(40). The heating plate includes a base plate(22) and a covering plate(24) rotating along a rotation axis. The heating plate is arranged in a traveling direction thereof. The transferring unit moves in a direction of the heating plate. The opening unit opens/closes the base plate. The heater supplies the heat to the base plate. The opening unit consists of an opening portion(31), opening-state keeping portion(33), and closing portion(35). The opening portion opens a part of the covering plate. The opening-state keeping portion keeps the covering plate opened. The covering portion closes the covering plate. The opening portion is equipped with an open guiding rail(311) and an opener(32). The covering plate includes a roller(25) moving along the open guiding rail.
