PURPOSE: A method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display element is provided to prevent the alignment of liquid crystal molecules from being scattered. CONSTITUTION: A method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display element comprises a substrate preparing process(S1), an aligned film forming process(S2), a rubbing processing(S3), a sealant printing process(S4) and a substrate soldering process(S5). In the aligned film forming process, aligned films are formed on one-side surfaces of the first and second substrates. In the rubbing processing, surfaces of each aligned film are rubbed. In the sealant printing process, a sealant is screen-printed so as to surround a display area on one side of the first substrate.
