SUNSHADE FOR BUILDING EXTERIORS

A sunshade for attachment to a curtain wall of a building, has connecting brackets suitable for attachment to mullions in a curtain wall, and blade support struts attached to the connecting brackets at a first joint. Louvered blades are supported by the blade support struts at a second joint and positioned on the second joint at a preselected fixed profile angle. The louvered blades may comprise a top wall, a photovoltaic cell being supported by the top wall, and the fixed profile angle being preselected to optimize electricity production by the photovoltaic cell at a latitude where the sunshade is attached to a building exterior.
