PURPOSE: A method for preparing polyester films for optical use is provided to form a coating layer on a polyester film in order to realize continuous processes for mass production. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing polyester films for optical use comprises the following steps of: extruding a polyester sheet; drawing the polyester sheet in a machine direction; coating a coating solution on the both sides of the polyester sheet; and drawing the coated polyester sheet in a transverse direction perpendicular to the machine direction. The coating solution comprises a resin with refractive index of 1.4-1.6.
