PURPOSE: A method and a system for offering a map using a virtual point of interest are provided to display interesting locations that other users set on a map, thereby conveniently checking a location that a user is interested in and obtaining information of a location that other users are interested in. CONSTITUTION: A method for offering a map using a virtual point of interest(202) comprises the following steps. A map database is maintained. The map database includes map data. A virtual POI(Point of Interest) is set up on a specific location of an image map generated based on the map data. The image map and the virtual POI are associated and stored. The virtual POI is set up corresponding to an interesting location by making the interesting location of a user as a specific location. |
