PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for providing image capture composition using face detection in a digital image processing device are provided to enable image photographing in an optimal format by providing a guideline for a photographing format based on face detection of a live view image. CONSTITUTION: A digital signal processing unit detects plural feature points through the face detection of a live view image, and the detected feature points are used to provide a guideline for photographing format. A photographing format is changed so that the guideline for photographing format may be identical to a reference guideline. An image processing unit(35) process a signal to display converted RAW data.
