PURPOSE: An insert for a drill and an insert drill are provided to improve the surface quality of an inner wall of a processing hole and improve machining accuracy and lengthen the service life of the insert. CONSTITUTION: An insert for a drill and an insert drill comprises an insert body. One square surface forms a rake face in the insert body. Each cutting edge(15) is formed in four side ridge parts of the rake face. The one among the cutting edges is protruded to the front end of the drill body of an insert drill and is mounted on the insert drill to be detached. The cutting edge comprises a corner edge, a main cutting edge, and a wiper edge. The corner edge is positioned at the corner part of the rake face. The main cutting edge and the wiper edge are successively extended from the corner edge to the circumference rotational direction of the rake face.
