APPARATUS FOR WATERMARKING BASED ON LOCAL AUTO-CORRELATION FUNCTION AND METHOD THEREFOR

PURPOSE: An apparatus for watermarking based on a local auto-correlation function and a method therefor are provided to extract inserted watermark by finding out the synchronized watermark from converted video contents. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for watermarking based on a local auto-correlation function includes a watermark pattern generation unit(100), an insertion unit(200), an image input unit(300), a detection unit(400) and a controller. The watermark pattern generation unit performs a low band pass filtering by generating a watermark pattern, and the insertion unit determines the strength of the filtered watermark pattern. The insertion unit adjusts the strength of the watermark pattern according to the variation of an image, and inserts the watermark pattern into a space domain of a video frame. The image input unit receives a video frame, and the detection unit estimates the inserted watermark from the inputted video frame.
