Support comprises a tube (10) axially profiled in an end region which is accessed from outside when in use. The profile has a corrugated cross-section. The outer diameter, inner diameter and/or the wall thickness in the end region is larger in comparison to the remainder of the tube. An independent claim is also included for a method for the production of a tube of a support. Preferred Features: The end region is located 15-20 cm from the lower end.
