<p>Felt- and shrink-proofing wool and wool blends with isocyanate-contg. polyurethanes and water. Before, during or after treatment in organic solvents with isocyanate group-contg. reaction products, prepd. from cpds. of 500-6000 mol. wt. contg. at least 2 OH gps. and polyisocyanates, water as steam or mist is applied to wool or wool blends in 1-20% amounts based on weight of goods under normal air-conditioning. Materials may be steamed in a tumbler before treatment with isocyanate group-contg. products (A); or wetted through in a solvent drum machine by spraying in steam or mist; or water is applied before or together with (A) as finely divided water-in-solvent dispersion in presence of emulsifiers; or water is applied together with (A) soln. in presence of emulsifiers. Pref. emulsifiers are usual strengtheners for cleaning, and pref. 2-10% water is applied to goods.</p> |
