PURPOSE: A hinge device and a portable terminal using the same are provided to adjust the angle of a slider freely. CONSTITUTION: A hinge device(10) includes the first slider, the second slider and a rotating unit. The second slider moves the first slider they use the elastic force. The rotating unit rotates the second slider by the elastic force by comprising a housing, a spring, the first to third cam units and a bracket. The housing is connected with the second slider. The spring is axis-installed in the housing. The cam units are elastically supported by the spring and perform independent motions. The bracket supports the first cam unit The portable terminal includes a key button part, a liquid crystal display and the hinge device.
