#CMT# #/CMT# The coreless process produces a tube (1) from a sheet (5) by placing it in a die made in two halves (3, 4) and closing them up to produce a tube with a slit. The deformation takes place in the half-dies, and the edges (6, 7) of the sheet are prevented from sliding forward as the die is closed up to form the slit tube. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# For producing tubes. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# More reliable production of slit tubes; slit can be welded up if required. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a schematic sectioned view of the device used in the process, perpendicular to the bending axis. 10 : Tube 3,4 : Half-dies 6,7 : Edges.
|
