PURPOSE: A word line driver is provided to improve cell efficiency by reducing a chip size by implementing a sub word line driver with 2-transmistor structure. CONSTITUTION: A word line driver includes a sub word line driver and a main word line controller. The sub word line driver is controlled according to the voltage level of the main word line. The sub word line driver selectively activates the sub word line by the word line driving signal. The main word line controller outputs the main word line to the first voltage level for a first period. The main word line control unit outputs the main word line to a second voltage level higher than the first voltage level for a second period after the first period.
