The conveyor has screws (81) and a nut (82) for displacing a branch (170) of a stud (7) i.e. sliding clamp, between a rest position in which jaws (70c, 170c) of branches (70, 170) of the stud are separated and lower parts (70b, 170b) of the branches are inserted in a longitudinal groove (46) of a section (4) of each girder, and an active fitting and locking position. The jaws are connected to fit an element e.g. rail, in the fitting and locking position. A fin (179) at the lower part (170b) is inserted in the groove for locking an assembly of the stud on the section.
