PURPOSE: A cutting tool is provided to form a coating layer on the surface by using alumina ceramic. CONSTITUTION: One or more aluminum-titan- chrome type nitride coating layers are formed on the surface of an alumina type base material. The alumina type base material is made of alumina and one or more metal oxide of 0.1~25 vol.%. A metal forming the metal oxide is selected from a group consisting of 3 group or 6 group elements on a Periodic table containing La series or Ac series.
