PURPOSE: A refrigerator in which the amount of cool air is controlled according to the door opening detection and an air amount controlling method thereof are provided to prevent the electric power waste by informing a user if the door is not perfectly shut. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator in which the amount of cool air is controlled according to the door opening detection comprises a hinge part(13), a sensor(14), a hole, a controller(30). The hinge part is equipped in one side of a refrigerator door(11) along an axis. The hinge part makes the door rotate. The sensor measures the rotation angle of the door through the rotation of the hinge part. The hole sprays the cooling air to form the cold air film in the inside of the refrigerator. The controller controls the amount of the cold air according to the detected value of the sensor. |
