Composite yarn with wool like properties

Two or more yarns are fed at different speeds to false twist spindle; one multifil yarn is core, and other multifilament yarn(s) is/are wound round it within the limits of the false twist region, and are fed freely perp. to axis of first yarn. False twist is set and yarn after winding up is best given second heat treatment, and is then twisted. Apparatus is described.
